2007 Conference Exhibitor Information

The Michigan Association for the Education and Rehabilitation of the Blind and Visually Impaired will again hold its annual conference at the Marriott at Laurel Park Place in Livonia on April 26 and 27, 2007.

The title of this year's conference is Monitoring Advancements in Education and Rehabilitation.

Vendor Exhibits are always a very popular part of the conference. Educators and rehabilitation professionals are deeply interested in learning more about what products can help their students and clients with visual impairments. The Marriott at Laurel Park Place has proven to be a very popular venue for the conference, with a large number of members attending at this location.

The for-profit cost to exhibit at the MAER conference is $125 per table, plus $90 per person for meal tickets. Non-profit organizations may reserve a table at no cost, but must purchase a meal ticket at $90 per person if intending to join in the breakfasts or buffet lunches. Note on the Additional Needs section of the form if you require electricity for your equipment. Internet access is an additional cost from the hotel and will need to be incurred by the vendor. Again this year we would like to invite you to participate as a sponsor of an evening Hospitality Event on Thursday, April 26th. In order to respond to requests by attendees and venders for more time together, we will be hosting the Hospitality Event in the vender area. Though some of our membership is local to the metropolitan Detroit area, many other people travel from out-state locations. The Hospitality Event has been extremely popular for the past two years, bringing people together and expanding their networking and idea exchange so valued at professional conferences. Sponsorship will cost $100 and sponsor names will be noted in the program. Conference sessions conclude around 5 pm on Thursday, and the Hospitality Event will open at 6 pm. We truly appreciate your participation at the MAER conference, and your support of the conference as an exhibitor. Thank you for choosing to attend and sharing your knowledge and resources. If you are unable to attend this year's conference, we generally are able to display a small amount of literature or pamphlets. Contact either of us to arrange this. Please return the attached form to Lynnette Norton by April 1, 2007. Enclose a check made out to MAER for reserving your table and/or meals.
