MAER Scholarship

The Michigan Chapter of AER (MAER) annually awards one $500 scholarship.

Eligibility:

1) The applicant must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate (with junior status) or graduate program in the field of education or rehabilitation of the visually impaired. 2) The applicant must be a full time student whose present GPA is 3.0 or better.

Application: Please submit the following information:

1) Most current school transcript.

2) List of honors, awards, citations, etc.

3) Record of related work or volunteer experiences.

4) An essay of 200 words or less written by the applicant that answers the question, "Why have I chosen to enter this professional field?"

5) Two letters of recommendation, one from a faculty member and another from an adult (employer, clergy, etc.) who is not family.
