The Michigan Chapter of AER was chartered in 1984 following the merger of AAWB and AEVH. Our chapter is a member of District 3.

 

Call for MAER Board of Directors Nominations

 

The Michigan Association for the Education and Rehabilitation of the Blind and Visually Impaired (MAER) is looking for people who are interested in servicing as a Director for 4 years or as an officer for 2-6 years.

 

Nominations are being accepted through March 15 for the following positions:

 

  • President-Elect :  This is a 2 year term followed by another 2 year term as President then a 2 year term as Past President (6 years)
  • Secretary:  This is a 2 year term.
  • Treasurer:  This is a 2 year term.
  • Director:  There are several 4 year term positions open.

MAER AWARD for individual(s) or organization(s) who has/have made a significant contribution to the field of blindness and/or in the service of blind and visually impaired persons in Michigan.

DAVID AND JOANN SEARCH LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD – for an individual who has recently retired or is about to and demonstrated a lifetime dedication to serving blind and visually impaired persons in Michigan.
